Submissions for this call will only be accepted through Call for Entry (CaFÉ). CaFÉ is an online application and adjudication system through which we are managing this call. More Info about CaFÉ
SUBMISSION FEES
$35.00 for 3 entries
$5.00 for each additional entry (20 max)
CALL TIMELINE
December 11 - Call Closes (11:59 Mountain Time)
December 15 - Notification of Selected Artists (via Email)
January 20 - Deadline for receiving all artwork.
February 1 - Exhibit Opens
February 4 - Opening Reception 7-10pm
April 4 - Exhibition Closes
CRITERIA
Photographers must be at least 18 years old to enter. This is an open theme competition; all subject matters and photographic print mediums are acceptable.
AWARDS
As determined by our jury panel, cash awards will be given; $300 (Best In Show) $200 (Runner Up). All finalists selected to exhibit will receive a gratis copy of Good Bokeh: Focusing on fine art photographers.
SHIPPING – READ CAREFULLY
Absolutely no packing peanuts! Boxes, crates and even small packages containing packing peanuts will be resealed, immediately returned and eliminated from the exhibition, no exceptions. There will be an additional small cash award for the most professionally packed artwork! Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance (during shipping) of artworks. International artists are responsible for paying all international fees. All shipments must include a prepaid UPS OR FED EX (absolutely no USPS STAMPS) return label and be shipped in a container appropriate for re-use in return shipping.
COMMISSION
Dab Art will retain 35% of all sales; artwork selected by Dab Art for exhibition must be available for sale.
SALES
Payments to Artists will be provided within 45 days after receipt of full payment from Buyer to Dab Art. Dab Art will not release artwork to Buyer until full payment is received. Dab Art will not accept lay away payments or installments without prior notice to artist. Dab Art will provide Artist with receipt of sales activity for all inventoried work.
CUSTODY
Dab Art agrees to hold artwork on premises and display as appropriate artwork received by Artist. It is understood by the artist that the artwork will remain housed at H Gallery until it is released to Buyer after payment of full purchase price or to Artist at the close of exhibition.
REFUSAL RIGHTS
Dab Art reserves the right to refuse entries that are not properly presented, or are not representative of what was submitted. Refused entries are not eligible for refunds.
INSURANCE
Dab Art & H Gallery is not responsible for damage due to faulty or improperly mounted, wired or framed artwork. Dab Art & H Gallery are not responsible for artwork damaged during shipping. It is the artist's responsibility to carry additional insurance beyond our limited liability (theft, natural disaster) coverage.
