SUBMISSION FEES
The submission fee for this call is $28 for 5 entries. Submission fees are non- refundable. Each submission will be reviewed and respectfully considered for exhibition.
ARTWORK
Painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, installation, digital art, all genres, mediums and disciplines are accepted.
ARTIST CRITERIA
Artists must be between the ages of 18-40. Artists must reside within Ventura County.
VENUE
This exhibition will be on display at The Atrium Gallery. This gallery is located on the 4th floor of the Ventura County Government Center at 800 South Victoria Avenue, Ventura, California, 93009.
EXHIBITION DETAILS
Exhibition will run from January 13 - February 28, 2017. Artwork selected for exhibition must remain in the Atrium Gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Artists selected for exhibition will be given further instructions regarding dates and times for art drop and pick up.
SPECIFICATIONS
All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to art. Frames, mats & wiring must be professional quality & in good condition. Wires must be securely fashioned & support weights of the artwork, saw tooth hangers are not acceptable. 2d artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. Unframed or improperly mounted work will not be accepted.
SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Notification for invitations and refuses for this exhibit will be sent on January 6th, 2017.
RIGHTS OF REFUSAL
Dab Art reserves the right to refuse artwork(s) that are not professionally presented or that do not resemble original submissions. Refused entries or submissions are not eligible for refunds.
INSURANCE
The utmost care will be taken in handling all works. Neither Dab Art or any of the exhibition venues are responsible for faulty hangers or mounts on framed or unframed works. Beyond our limited liability coverage for theft or natural disaster, it is the artist's responsibility to carry additional insurance for any of their works sent for exhibition.
SALES & COMMISSION
The commission retention for DEFYING DOYER is 40%. The Ventura Arts Council in association with The Atrium Gallery retains 25% & Dab Art retains 15% on all sales. Sales made will be made through Dab Art for the duration of this exhibit. Remittances will be paid within 45 days after the close of the exhibition.
