Submissions

Dama Gallery sets itself apart from the typical gallery construct with our openness to artists who are not traditionally represented. We take pride in being one of the very few established galleries that extend exhibition considerations to non-represented artists. This unique opportunity aligns with our mission to provide a platform for both emerging and established talents, hoping to discover and feature new visionaries in the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary art movements.

Through the open call format, we are able to include guest artists to partake in our gallery program, enhancing the artistic diversity and innovation of our exhibitions. Embracing an inclusive ethos, we acknowledge that artistic brilliance knows no boundaries. We believe in the power of individual expression and aim to provide a platform where every artist's voice can resonate authentically within the context of their chosen space.

Submissions are carefully considered, with selections made independently by location and curator. This process ensures that each gallery space reflects its unique identity and resonance within the contemporary art landscape. The goal is to create a dynamic synergy between artists and curators while cultivating an organic tapestry of artistic voices that collectively define the ever-evolving narrative of Dama Gallery.

Please note that just as an artists work, talent, time and materials can not be given away, our curators time and experience is both measurable and valuable. The call platform we utilize does include a submission fee, which is re-distributed in various ways depending on the call; curatorial pay which includes time spent reviewing portfolios for consideration, submission consultations, exhibition publications, artist stipends, juror honorariums, incremental shipping costs, gallery interns and a plethora of other expenses that go into planning, marketing and executing all the facets of a large scale exhibition program such as ours.
