FOTO 2024

Dama Gallery is pleased to present FOTO 2024, a photography publication and exhibition that explores the profound influence of photography on contemporary art by highlighting the various roles the medium plays in cultural commentary, documentation, journalism, and as a medium for conveying political and historical narratives.

Celebrating photography's versatility, FOTO 2024 assembles all photographic genres, formats and applications to create an impactful collection of works that emphasizes the importance of photography in contemporary art. Selections begin on July 6th, artists and artworks will be reviewed, juried, and added monthly.

Artists chosen for this exhibit will be featured in a hardcover photography book commemorating the exhibition. Each selected artist will receive a free digital copy of the publication, while the full-color folio will be available for purchase. Copies of the publication will be donated to the Fine Arts Library (FAL) at the University of Texas at Austin and to the LACMA Balch Art Research Library in Los Angeles for their permanent collections. Our FOTO 2024 publication will be released at the end of January 2025.
