As an artist who has passed the point of middle age, I am keenly aware of the inspiration that comes from an introspective examination as I mine poignant personal imagery. I am here triggering intuition while exploring the complex intersections of individual and collective memory. I am there in my studio making the work so disparate from my younger self, evolving while living in contemporary society, forming emotional attachments, acquiring knowledge, and building belief systems. What I am most interested in sharing with the viewer is a sensation more so than a statement while simultaneously welcoming them to my constant exploration into what it means to be human.
