STATEMENT

CUERPO PERPETUO is a photographic project where I question the body and its transcendence. While I reflect on death and the fear it causes me, I look for the images to make me "immortal" to avoid losing this existential and mental plane.

Through self-portraits, I confront bodies of a different nature to feel that my body is ephemeral. Here; the flora, natural or artificial, symbolizes the cycle of life and the desire to be perpetual: it humanizes me.

My artistic practice oscillates between being and having a body, which leads me to introspect its versatility. I constantly wonder what is going on inside and outside of it?
