Art Lab Project | Spring 2021 presents our artists in virtual residency and their creative expressions transformed by a Covid world. Throughout the pandemia a group of artists has met twice weekly online to socialize, meet visiting artists, visit and speak with curators, attend virtual openings, salons, art labs, and more. We introduced the Art Lab Project to bridge the gap of a traditional residency program and an exhibition outcome missing during the digital times. These artists proposed a studio project and met for 10 weeks to share their project progress, views into their studio processes and materials, and collaborate. Exploring the nature of our studio lives in a historic time of isolation these artist brought light into a dark time.
