EXHIBITION

Dabster Arts Inc. presents renowned Artist Rachel Sager in an online exclusive solo exhibition, "Alma de Las Nubes": A Transcendental Exploration of Metamorphosis and the Human Impact on the Environment. Curated by Micheal Swank.

The illustrious Rachel Sager, distinguished by her profound examination of the transmutation of matter and the visceral consequences of human intervention in the natural world, is pleased to unveil her latest online exclusive art exhibition, the enigmatic "Alma de Las Nubes." This exhibition represents a confluence of artistry and intellect, inviting discerning patrons to embark on a journey into the depths of Sager's visionary aesthetic.

A graduate of the venerable Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Rachel Sager's artistic trajectory has been enriched by a transformative period of study in the historic cradle of Renaissance art, Florence, Italy. Her oeuvre has been celebrated on the international stage, with her work prominently featured in juried exhibitions that include the Aqua International Art Fair in Miami, FL, as well as the Open and Crocker-Kingsley California Biennial. Notably, Sager attained the status of the featured artist in the PBS Emmy Award-winning documentary, "Sketching the Silk Road." Currently ensconced in the idyllic landscapes of Petaluma, California, Rachel Sager dedicates herself wholeheartedly to the vocation of painting.

"Alma de Las Nubes" emerges as the culmination of Sager's ongoing artistic odyssey—an examination of matter in a state of flux, a metamorphosis from one state to another. Her work resonates deeply with the profound, sometimes cataclysmic, consequences of human agency upon the terrestrial realm. Within these masterpieces, Sager captures transmutations of matter as orchestrated detonations upon aerial landscapes, evoking a visceral sensation of the Earth's simultaneous vitality and decline, ensconced in an ethereal aura. In a brilliant fusion of the conceptual and the palpable, these meteoric conflagrations simultaneously hint at the colorful specter of global warming, as depicted on climate change maps. Sager's artwork emancipates the observer from conventional, univocal symbolism, enabling a voyage of intellectual and emotional discovery.

Utilizing a distinctive technique involving brushing, rubbing, and dusting, Sager's charcoal underpaintings share a common origin with the very material they portray. The unrefined rawness of charcoal is preserved, bestowing an organic, almost corporeal texture upon her canvases, which serves to accentuate the lush qualities of oil paint.

The "Alma de Las Nubes" exhibition proudly presents a curated selection of five evocative artworks. Each piece is meticulously rendered in oil on canvas or, in some instances, a captivating fusion of oil and charcoal. Defined by their tonal obscurity and their resolute abstraction, these compositions manifest an intrinsic magnetism, inviting audiences to delve into the interplay of shadow and luminescence, form and dissolution.

Connoisseurs of the arts and collectors with discerning tastes are cordially invited to immerse themselves in the transcendent realm of Rachel Sager's "Alma de Las Nubes," an exhibition that promises to be a profound and transcendent experience, showcasing the artist's indomitable talent and her unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression.
